Kris has been a design enthusiast since he was a child where he spent many hours creating sculptures and other art. As an adult, he pursued architecture seeing it as an interactive way for individuals to experience and live in good design. A self-described nuts and bolts guy, Kris also appreciates the technical side of designing.
Kris started his career in architecture as a former employee of SDG during the 1990s. By 1997, he started his own design and construction company where he worked on several residential properties throughout Topeka.
In 2018, Kris came back to SDG where he is part of a team that designs several retail and hospitality projects. He says the biggest changes to SDG include growth of the company and wide scope of projects the firm designs.
Kris is an active member of Fellowship Bible Church. He also supports Ducks Unlimited and is a member of the American Model Association.
