SDG was hired to provide programming, site assessment, conceptual design, and cost estimating to study several options for a new varsity weight training facility. Renovation of the under-utilized Whiting Fieldhouse was selected from among these options.
Renovation included constructing a new floor to raise the basketball court and placing the new weight room at the original court level. Space once dedicated to bleachers and circulation was captured to create three classrooms, nineteen offices, a conference room, and new restrooms.
