Schwerdt Design Group completed a remodel and addition of the historic St. Joseph Country Club was in 2019.
The Tudor-style clubhouse was built in 1922 and has continued to be a site of several USGA and amatuer PGA tournaments. Current clubhouse amenities include a ballroom, indoor and outdoor dining, fitness center, and administrative offices.
To update the aging facility, assessments were performed on the MEP systems and structural integrity and water tightness of the clubhouse. During the programming phase, architects determined which existing design elements needed to be maintained due to their historic importance.
After the assessments a plan was implemented to remodel and update the current facility. Major new construction included a front entry canopy and vestibule, a new bar and dining area, and back patio.
