Canyon Farms is a high end private golf clubhouse that includes a public restaurant and public meeting spaces. Great care was taken to keep the private side separated from the public without obvious physical barriers.
The Canyon Farms clubhouse was designed to pay homage to the property’s former agrarian roots. The former clay tile grain silo was left in place on the site and highlighted in the landscaping. Outdoor spaces include a pool area, exterior patio’s with integral fire pits, a dining deck that is part of the restaurant and a large covered outdoor banquet space with fire place and serving bar. The pool features an infinity edge pool with shallow sun deck, hot tub, fire urns, custom designed cabanas and an exterior fireplace defining the event patio.
An interesting fact about the site, about 100’ below the building is a former limestone mine. SDG coordinated with the engineering firm in charge of monitoring the mine to verify safety of the new development. SDG also coordinated with a pipeline company to safely work around a 30” high pressure gas pipeline that bisects the site between the clubhouse and parking lot.
