Blue Moose is a local chain with locations in Topeka, Lawrence, Manhattan and Kansas City.
The Topeka and Lawrence locations were built on vacant land, requiring work with local planning commissions.
For the Manhattan location, Blue Moose took over a building previously used by a sports bar. With efficiency in mind, the design reused as much of the existing facilities as possible, including the kitchen and bar. It also converted an upstairs storage room into an additional bar and event space, requiring the clever placement of a staircase to link the two public areas.
