The New Broughton Psychiatric Hospital project is a completely new 304 bed psychiatric hospital to replace the existing Broughton Hospital. This is the last of three new state hospitals to be constructed for the State. The site considerations, patient populations and staff issues are resulting is significant variations in the program and design of this facility.
Mr. Hunt was retained by the principal architectural firm for this project to assist with design and patient safety issues that pertain specifically and uniquely to psychiatric hospitals
His role includes participation in the full range of design considerations and identifying specific items and materials appropriate for use in this facility.
