 The North Carolina New Cherry Hospital project is a completely new 304 bed replacement psychiatric hospital. This is the second of three new hospitals being designed for the State.
Mr. Hunt was retained by the principal architectural firm for this project to assist with design and patient safety issues that pertain specifically and uniquely to psychiatric hospitals after the opening of the first hospital was delayed for six months because of patient and staff safety deficiencies.
His role includes participation in the full range of design considerations and identifying specific items and materials appropriate for use in this facility.
